PediCare – Privacy Policy

Overview

PediCare ("the App") is a free pediatric health reference application developed by Healthify Digital Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. PediCare does not require account registration and does not collect any personally identifiable information.

Information We Collect

PediCare collects no personal data. Specifically:

• Bookmarks & History — stored locally on your device only, never transmitted to any server.
• Language Preference — stored locally on your device only.
• Font Size & Settings — stored locally on your device only.

None of this data leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• NIH MedlinePlus — Health topic content is fetched from medlineplus.gov (public API). No personal data is sent with these requests.
• Google Translate API — When a non-English language is selected, topic titles and article content are sent to Google's translation service for translation. Only health content text is sent — no personal information. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — The App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.
• Google Maps — The "Find Nearby Hospitals / Clinics" feature opens Google Maps in your browser. No data is shared from the App directly.

Children's Privacy

PediCare is a health reference tool intended for use by parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Data Security

All user preferences and saved data are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. We do not operate servers that store your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
